McKenzie Ortiz

McKenzie Ortiz is a non-driver and pedestrian advocate whose work combines grassroots organizing, civic leadership, and digital storytelling to shift how cities prioritize people who do not drive. She created Pedestrian Pride, a social media project that uses storytelling and online content to highlight pedestrian experiences, transportation equity, and general urbanist propaganda. McKenzie works as Advocacy Director at Local Motion and serves as a Planning and Zoning Commissioner for the City of Columbia, Missouri. She is also a member of the Strong Towns Cohort.
